New Addition

How can you not look anything but cool with small headlights strapped to your head?

Runner Geek has a new toy. Since I started running earlier in the morning (5:30) it's still pretty dark. I picked up this handy dandy headset at Academy. I don't usually wear hats because I have big head issues, but I've come to terms with a visor as long as it's adjustable.

This morning we came up on a man walking his dogs and he said he thought he was seeing a UFO. No, that would be Runner Geek.

  2. That is too funny. My oldest plays flashlight tag sometimes at night with his friends I am thinking those head lights would make a great creative gift.

  3. I love Runner Geek. She finds the coolest gear and gadets. What would we do without her?

  4. I love your new 'runner's gadget! I had to laugh out loud, because I actually have a baseball cap with a built-in light in the visor I run with! Yep, I guess I must be a 'runner's geek' too! Next stop, chess club...

  5. The hat is hilarious. I noticed you have Gail Pittman plates...I just LOVE her! (I'm a SLAH consultant) What good taste you have!

  6. My husband has a hat with lights in it for fishing -- I think that trumps you in the geek department. :)

  9. I just told my adorable husband that I needed some kind of light to wear so the horse trailers would see me running in the morning! Looks like I need to make an Academy run!

Does it bother you to wear a viser? Does it make your forehead sweat more?

  11. Lacie: I usually pull the front part of my hair back with a clip and then wear the visor. I resemble a turnip.
It's not hot really at all. It keeps the sun/glare down and if it rains it keeps the rain from hitting you right in the eye.
The small headlights/flashlights are near the camping stuff. You also might look for a blinking light, like a clip on at your waist, to help you be more visible to drivers.
