Goodnight John Boy...

Just about every evening A. takes a few minutes to put her Loving Family to bed. The lucky ones get a blanket, which is actually a rug. Tonight I happened to walk by and cracked up at this scene, which is somewhere between Walton's Mountain and a CSI crime scene I think.

She makes everyone lie down, even the dog.
Unfortunately, we are one crib short. Maybe you should call shotgun faster next time little guy.
Somehow though she overlooked these prime slumbering spots.
Oh well, lights out anyway. Nightie night, don't let the bed bugs bite and all that.

**I promise I just stumble across these scenes, I don't set them up. It's 100% four year old imagination and Fisher Price.

  5. Hilarious. It's so funny to see what comes through their little minds. I feel most sorry for the baby who doesn't get the crib!

  6. Too cute. At our all boy house it usually involves putting elephants and warthogs and mammoths to bed!

  7. Your daughter is too cute. It reminds me of when I was little and had the creativity and imaginatin that I often lack now. Oh, to be young and innocent again!

  10. Holly....
Gracie Girl is so much like A., just like I am a lot like you....she does the same thing with her Ryan's Room doll house/dolls and uses the rugs as blankets....
Hey....Maybe we need to get a little itch to "sew" and make our girls some blankets for the poor babies!

  11. LOL! After working with teens for so long, I'm used to people not getting my "good night John Boy" comment on retreats. Thanks for making me feel normal again:)

  12. That is so cute. I remember Christie's post a while back about this same thing. Showed the mom putting her feet up in front of the TV I think with dad doing dishes. So great to see what comes out of their brains.

  13. My mother-in-law and I spent one fabulous Christmas Eve putting together a dollhouse for my daughter. We had so much fun decorating each room and positioning all the dolls.

Christmas morning Em took one look at it and then ran over to play with her 2 year old twin brothers' plastic ball table. We were crushed!!!

I want to play dolls with your girlie.

  14. I would never accuse you of setting up one of these scenes, only kids can create such bizarre and funny scenes.
