The WW Report: Week 5 Begins

The girl follows her points pretty closely.
The girl ran 4 days last week, plus this morning too.
The girl did NOT eat ANY Easter candy. Not. One. Piece.

The girl GAINED 1.4 pounds!

In the words of Gary Coleman, "Whatchu talkin' about?"

The girl is bitter. Oh so bitter.

  1. Bodies seem to make their own rules, don't they?!

BTW - did the books arrive?!

  3. To the Girl:
I've noticed that with me, weight comes on a week or two (or three) after my eating habits. So your weight gain this week is probably from treats a few weeks ago! Keep running!

  4. Crystal's TOTALLY right. Hang in there.

I always remind myself (when I have weeks like that) that eating more is certainly NOT going to help me drop the weight!

  5. The girl needs to tell herself to hang in there. It WILL come off. She will probably have a really big week next week.

Not fair though, huh. Stupid bodies.

  6. This girl has been there before, too. If it makes you feel any better, I've gained 1.4 pounds today alone. I need some of your will power over that Easter candy. You should still be proud of yourself - and you'll keep losing, no worries!

  7. The girl ran 4 days last week and then today...the girl is awesome!

Keep up the good work...it'll pay off for sure!

  8. I'll bet you LOOK thinner and feel better though, right?

  9. the girl is funny. oh so funny.

    :)

Next week will be better, my little bitter one. Sounds like you are doing AWESOME.

  10. I so admire your dedication. A huge shout out for continued support for you!

  11. I know exactly what you mean!! I had a few instances like that where I thought I did really good that week, but ended up gaining! What's up with that. They told me it could be water weight, muscle, hormones etc., but it didn't make me feel any better. Take heart in that it will get better and that you will get back on track and start losing again. It will happen, I promise!! :)

  12. It was disappointing to step up on the scale and have it go up instead of down--and I'm paying money to step up on the silly thing in the first place!!

I hope next week is better.

I must confess I ate some Whoppers yesterday afternoon. I did. It was total frustration eating and I know it doesn't help the overall goal. But they were tasty.

  13. Oh. The malted candy, not several Whoppers from Burger King.

  14. Oh, don't you hate that! I gained four pounds the past couple weeks but I knew I was in for it. I was sick, kids sick and I didn't exercise for 11 days solid. UGH. I am really trying to resist the candy now.

  15. That is the WORST- Next week will be a big drop for sure!

I ate junk all weekend so I am trying really, really hard to be good today- oh the humanity!!!
It is so hard, it's just not right- but I am determined!!!!!!

  16. I'm not quite sure, but to me I think that you look absolutely beautiful & skinny in your picture. Since I don't know you personally & this could be a picture of anyone, kindof don't think so.. But hey I'd give away my DD's to look like you anyday!!!
I have to get the desire again, lost it on the way to Sonic about 8weeks ago.

  17. Muscle weighs more than fat...that's my mantra!

  18. Bren: Thank you girl for your kind comments! That is a picture of me, from almost a year ago and 10-15 pounds slimmer.

I don't now what my overall weight loss goal is yet or what is even a realistic goal to work towards and stay within. Right now I'm working on losing 10% first, then I'll set another goal.

  19. Keep working!! My scale # goes up and down weekly. Go by the way your clothes fit and how your body feels. I think that is better than a number on the scale.

It is easier said than done. I weigh myself weekly but I concentrate on how I feel. When I eat right and exercise I feel good. When I eat Whoppers (the Burger kind HA! HA!) I feel like crap...

A few whoppers (candy) is good for you now and then. As long as you don't eat the whole box :o)

  20. Pure muscle though, right?

  21. I'm sorry! But you do have such a charming way of telling stories -- even bad news! But, I was laughing out loud at your Whopper comment. A few Burger King Whoppers is some serious frustration eating. :)

  22. ouch! I'd be bitter too. Just chalk it up to water weight!?!

  23. Now that is just plain wrong!
