Not Your Average Date Night

Late Friday afternoon we braved the traffic and managed to get downtown to pick up our race packets. Remember our anniversary present? Well, the day of reckoning is fast approaching, less than 24 hours. Eeek!

Getting our packets was rather exciting because it was Scott's first time to get his very own. Doesn't he look thrilled? Or perhaps slightly scared?

We browsed the expo briefly then made our way over to Buca di Beppo...

for some serious carb loading. Scott ordered spaghetti and meat sauce (he likes to live on the edge) and I chose Penne San Remo.

We made our way home through more traffic (seriously, what is up with that?), picked up Annelise from Pappo and Miss Peggy's, quickly shuffled her off to bed and settled in to watch the season premiere of Friday Night Lights. Aren't we terribly exciting? I know.

  1. You are most likely running right now...wow. If only I could run without thinking. By the time I get around the block (panting) I have created a long list of to do's that I get anxiety to get back. Please share your secret.

I hope you had a great day!

  8. Thanks y'all! It's close to time to lay out our race gear and pin on our numbers so everything will be ready before the birds are up in the morning.

We really like Buca di Beppo too. I know it's still a type of chain, but seems to have more character than something like Olive Garden. Wouldn't you like to eat supper with the pope as your centerpiece? (We didn't get to...but still)
