Do y'all remember DooDads? They were like kind of like Chex Mix and were the preferred snack of my of my childhood. With a Coke, in a bottle.
But that's neither here nor there.
Annelise has tennis camp this week and is loving every minute of it, even though it means early mornings and buckets of sweat.
I've been a little bit of a wimp though and have been sitting in the AC for a good part of the 1.5 hours she is there (I do manage to brave the heat and watch her a bit at the end, which works out as a win-win for us both).
My habit this week so far is to enjoy my coffee, do my bible lesson (still on To Live As Christ which is Beth Moore's study about Paul), eat my hard boiled egg and read my book. Then I watch some tennis.
I can't sit outside and drink my coffee, I might self-combust.
And on a blatant out of the blue side note, but speaking of coffee, I can't stand it when actors on TV or in movies are handed to-go ups of coffee, filled with invisible coffee and they fake drink it, except they fake it all wrong. There's no heft, you can totally tell the cups are empty. That bugs.
I went for a run yesterday evening and was rudely assaulted by oppressive heat and humidity. Instead of three miles I only made it 2.5ish. Blerg. But at least that was something.
It's really hard to run after Chick-Fil-A for supper. Just so you know.
Today though I went back to ChaLean Extreme Burn Intervals (a mix of cardio and weights) and a TurboFire HIIT workout. It was hard after a couple of weeks of, you know, not working out, but still really good. And sweaty.
One last doodad, did y'all notice I changed my blog header? I did, I did. Don't get me wrong, I still liked my old one, especially since it had photos from our NYC trip last year, but wanted a little update just the same. I made it on PicMonkey.com which is free and easy to use like Picnik was. Y'all should check it out if you're looking for an easy and quick photo editing site.
What are some of your doodads lately?
