what i wore

this week is a mix of casual and semi-dressy casual.

which is pretty much my M.O.

i like plaid, usually only on other people though (read: skinny minis), because i haven't found a pattern that is flattering on me. i don't know if mid-size women with a substantial chest area should even attempt plaid, but i sometimes do. adding a vest makes plaid possible for me because it breaks up the overall PLAID thing going on.
plaid shirt : old navy // grey puffer vest : old navy // boyfriend jeans : big star (zappos) // flats : vince camuto (nordstrom) // neon yellow studs : kendra scott // necklace : stella & dot
// leather cuff : farmgirl paints // watch : michael kors
annelise and i got a little dressed up for a wedding saturday afternoon, which was fun. waiting almost an hour to eat a cheesecake factory afterwards was not.
black top : gap // grey fur vest : jc penney //grey skirt : nordstrom
leopard flats : nordstrom // hot pink necklace & studs : kendra scott

annelise's dress & jacket : target // flats : payless

i love my blanket scarf, really i do, but it is a bit of a monster.  i feel like i have a newborn strapped to my chest in a wearable baby wrap. or something.
denim shirt : gap // jeans : big star (zappos) // plaid scarf : asos
nude flats : vince camuto (nordstrom) // gold hoops : gorjana (nordstrom)
this outfit for church was only meh.
skirt : stein mart // white top : stitch fix // denim jacket : nordstrom
wedges : kork-ease // necklace, bangles & bracelet : kendra scott // watch : michael kors
i love the edgy ease of graphic tees and jeans.
camo t : be still clothing co // cardigan & cami : target // jeans : big star (zappos)
bronze flats : nordstrom // crystal necklace : j crew // gold necklace : stella & dot // leather cuff : farmgirl paints

and yes, i wore the same jeans almost all week. hush.

and that, my friends, is all for this week.

i'm linking up with the pleated poppy again.

happy wednesday, y'all!
xoxo

  1. I like the plaid outfit on you! Totally understand the thought that only skinny minis can wear it, but its a very flattering outfit on you!

  2. Cute outfits! I ended up cutting my blanket scarf in half and love it so much more. I like the baby carrier analogy :)
